The Project:
EFT Mobility has developed a HV-Battery Junction Box. The modular design allows for two power levels and is optimized for size, BOM and manufacturing cost.
System Level Design
System Requirements: In a first step the system requirements have been collected and agreed upon with the customer.
Failure Mode Analysis: In order to ensure the required ASIL Levels for different functions, a detailed failure mode analysis has been conducted.
Two Power Versions: A specific concept has been evaluated, in order to make sure that the design is compatible for multiple power versions.
Detailed Design
Detailed design concepts have been developed for all different engineering domains:
Component Selection: All relevant components have been selected and a detailed BOM has been created.
Mechanical Design Concept: A detailed mechanical design has been developed which allows an extremely compact design of the junction box.
Firmware Design: All ICs have been selected and a detailed firmware functionality concept has been developed.
